Terms of Service
Last Updated: July 23, 2026
IMPORTANT: Calmemo is a consumer journal tool. It is NOT a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your pediatrician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
Acceptance of Terms
The public beta is open to adult caregivers (at least 18 years old) in Canada and the United States. Before entering the bot, you choose the country where your household lives; that choice determines the country where your journal is stored and processed. Before creating a profile, the bot asks you to confirm that you are at least 18 and accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. See our Privacy Policy for the regional boundary and third-party-provider limitations. Calmemo is designed to organize your own parent-reported observations for conversations with a qualified health professional.
Beta Limitations
The service may change, pause, or experience errors during beta. Do not use Calmemo for emergencies, real-time monitoring, diagnosis, treatment decisions, or as the only copy of information you may need.
AI and Accuracy
Calmemo uses AI to help organize your notes and create summaries. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, misclassified, or misunderstood. You are responsible for reviewing important information before relying on it or sharing it with a healthcare professional.
Emergencies
Calmemo is not monitored in real time and is not an emergency service. If you think your child may need urgent care, call 911 or your local emergency number, or contact a qualified healthcare provider right away.
Your Responsibilities
You must be an adult caregiver in a region Calmemo currently supports (Canada or the United States) with the right to enter and manage the family information you provide, including any information about a co-caregiver you invite. You understand that a verified caregiver in the same household can view the child's shared history, including entries recorded by other caregivers, and that saved entries remain part of that history if a contributor later leaves. You agree not to use Calmemo on behalf of clinics, employers, or healthcare-provider organizations, or for unlawful purposes, spam, abuse, automated access, or attempts to interfere with or disrupt the service.
Free Period & Paid Membership
New families receive their first 2 months free. No payment is required to start. After the free period, Calmemo becomes a paid household membership, billed per household rather than per child or caregiver: CA$5 per month for Canadian households and US$5 per month for United States households, plus applicable taxes. Any tax Calmemo is required to collect is calculated and added at checkout and paid by you. Paid membership begins only after we give you clear notice, show the total, and you consent to continue. Optional tips, if offered, are voluntary and are not required for the same core product access.
The free period is granted once per household. If you delete your Calmemo data and later return, we may retain a minimal account-eligibility record — a one-way hashed identifier plus your trial and payment status, with no child or health information — so that the free period reflects your household's actual history rather than restarting. See our Privacy Policy for what this record contains and how long it is kept.
Fair Use & Beta Limits
To protect reliability, control costs, and safeguard privacy, Calmemo may apply fair-use limits, including a shared daily allowance of AI-assisted entries and summaries per household and a maximum length for individual voice notes. These limits may change during the beta. Calmemo's public beta does not have an enrollment waitlist or household admission cap. We may pause or end access that is abusive, unsafe, automated, or in breach of these Terms.
Third-Party Services
Calmemo works through third-party services such as Telegram, WhatsApp and Meta, Stripe, Google, and our cloud providers. Those services may process data under their own terms and may change, pause, restrict, review, or stop parts of their service. Calmemo is not responsible for third-party delivery delays, account restrictions, policy decisions, or outages outside our reasonable control. WhatsApp may require generic approved templates for notifications sent outside its customer-service window; health details are instead made available through Calmemo's authenticated website flow.
Changes & Contact
We may update these Terms as Calmemo changes. We will post the updated date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice where appropriate before continued use. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the applicable laws of Canada. Questions? Email us at hello@calmemo.com.
